Dick Cafarelli opened Modelville Hobby in May of 1965. It was a little store with one track in downtown Framingham.
Later in 1965, Dick moved to a bigger location that had three 1/24 race tracks and one HO scale race track.

In 1978 he closed the Framingham location and opened a new location in Ashland with two tracks. He moved one track into the basement and built a second one.
