Double Ball Roulette, as the name implies, doubles up on the entertainment value with two balls in play on an otherwise traditional roulette wheel.
The balls are launched through a tube using compressed air. You can see the special launch tube below thanks to our extraordinary skill at photography.

Having two balls in play means there are two results from each spin.
The dealer uses two dollies (or markers, see below) to let players know the results of each spin.
Not surprisingly, because there are two balls in play, the payouts on the Double Ball Roulette table have been adjusted accordingly.
There’s a sort of payout “cheat sheet” right on the table felt for easy reference.
As you can see, there’s a payout for each ball. For a “straight up” bet on one number, the payout is 17-to-1. (In traditional roulette, using one ball, the payout for a straight up number is 35-to-1.) For two numbers, a “split” bet, the payout is 8-to-1, and so on.
The payouts for Double Ball Roulette may take some getting used to, but your dealer can help with the math. After all, Vegas isn’t about math (or reading), it’s about having a blast!

Speaking of having a blast, Double Ball Roulette provides a side bet can take the game to a whole new level.
Next to the traditional layout is a racetrack-shaped bet that pays a whopping 1,200-to-1 if both balls land in the same number.
Two balls land in the same space about once in every 38 spins, so it’s not all that uncommon. The odds are 1-in-1,444, if you insist upon knowing the math.
Look below to see what it looks like if you have a bet on a straight up number as well as a wager on that number as a side bet. Let’s just say it involves a lot of awesome. And possibly a form from the IRS. But in the best possible way.
One of the biggest adjustments for players who are used to traditional roulette is in the “outside” bet payoffs.
To win a bet on red, for example, both balls have to land on red numbers. If one hits black and the other red, the bet on red loses. There is a bet for a split decision, however (one black, one red), that pays 1-to-1.
Another example would be a “3rd 12” bet. Both numbers have to hit in the “3rd 12” portion of the layout for the bet to win at a payout of 8-to-1.
